Parents hunting for baby formula are changing their shopping habits as the monthslong, nationwide shortage persists. They have been making more shopping trips to buy formula and buying more of it when they find it, data show.
Nationally, 21.7% of baby formula was out of stock in the week ended June 5, a slight improvement from 22.9% the previous week, according to market-research firm IRI. Shortages are more acute across states in the South and Southwest, data show.
