Credit Suisse committed a “serious breach of Swiss supervisory law”, according to the country's financial regulator, as it concludes a two-year probe into the bank's relationship with fallen financier Lex Greensill.
Greensill, who used his close contacts with UK government officials to secure lucrative supply chain finance contracts, saw his empire collapse in March 2021, forcing Credit Suisse to suspend some $10bn of its funds that had exposure to his businesses.
