Goldman Sachs may have just promoted its biggest ever class of managing directors, but a smaller proportion made the cut in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
This year, 23% of the newly-promoted managing directors in 2021 were from Emea, down from 31% in 2019. Of those 151 individuals, 35 work in the investment banking division, which has emerged as the key battleground for talent this year.
