Relations are beginning to normalise between the Confederation of British Industry and the government, according to reports, as the scandal-hit lobby group's chief executive joined an event with the City minister earlier this week.
The Financial Times reports that Rain Newton-Smith, who took over as director general of the CBI in April as a series of sexual misconduct allegations rocked its leadership, was invited to an event chaired by Andrew Griffith on 11 July.
